Last week, our South Fremont High School Juniors attended Higher Ed Day hosted by BYU–Idaho! Students explored 10 Idaho colleges, met with college reps, and learned about programs of study and extracurricular opportunities. A huge thank you to Mrs. Clark for organizing this amazing experience for our students.

Ms. Davis' Floral & Horticulture Science class has loved having Fremont County Extension Agent Mr. Tom Jacobsen as a guest presenter for the last few days, teaching them about the properties and importance of soil in plant and human life.

Assistant Track & Field Coach (Throws or Sprints) We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Track & Field Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching throwing events (shot put, discus, javelin) or sprinting events. Responsibilities include: Coaching and developing student-athletes Assisting with practice planning and meet preparation Promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety Supporting the head coach and overall program Qualifications: Knowledge of throwing events or sprint training Ability to work positively with student-athletes Coaching experience preferred (but not required) This is a great opportunity for a teacher, former athlete, or community member interested in working with student-athletes.

Ms. Davis' Animal Science class learned how to give injections today. They gave both intramuscular and subcutaneous injections to their bananas!

Come to Driggs this Saturday 1/24, and support our snow sculpture team by voting for our piece, "She Still Watches"! Voting is from 10-4:30 and the award ceremony at 5 with festivities throughout the day!

There will be a meeting for all students and parents going on SFHS's U.S. History Tour. January 26th @ 6:00 PM, in the Little Theater.

Students will have the opportunity to hear directly from multiple colleges and universities from Idaho and Utah. This is a great chance to learn about programs, admissions, and campus life.

Mrs. Hammond's Hospitality and Tourism class was given an amazing opportunity to visit the newest restaurant in town. Soulfly Pizza was amazing to give us a tour and talk to us about starting up a new restaurant. The pizza and wings were also a huge hit! Thank you to the owners, Jennifer and Josh for an amazing day!

All Ski Snowboarders We will meet this Friday, January 9th at the Junior High School at 7:45am! Please bring all equipment along with food or money for lunch! We will return around 2:00pm! See ya all then!!

South Fremont BPA Breakfast with Santa

We wanted to recognize our Cougar Grit award winners for the last two months. These students are recognized because they put in so much extra time and effort into their school work as well as thier extracurricular activities. These students can often be seen after practice or on their days off putting in extra time working to improve thier skills. Tylenn had a great season in volleyball. Tracy helped lead the girls soccer team to their first ever win in the district tournament. Bryan Bushman was named the player of the year in the Mountian River Conference for soccer. Beau Ashcraft placed 4th at the cross country state tournament, where he set a new school record with an amazing time of 15 minutes and 54 seconds. We are proud of these student athletes and want them to be recognized for all of their extra time and effort that that put in. #ITSAGREATDAYTOBEACOUGAR
