
The drivers ed class at South Fremont High School will start with a mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, February 15 @ 6:00 pm in the high school Little Theater. The classroom portion begins Thursday, Feb. 16 @ 6:00 am., in room 210.

This year South Fremont High School started up a DECA chapter. DECA is a business Career technical student organization that focuses on business management, leadership,marketing, and entrepreneurship. We had 4 students commit to DECA this year.
This past week, we went to Nampa Idaho to compete at the 2023 Idaho DECA State Career Development Conference. Here are the placements:
Qualified for the National DECA Career Development Conference in Orlando and will be competing in April:
Natalee Abegglen-3rd place in Principles of Marketing (out of 12)
Kelton Dillard-5th place in Principles of Business Management and Administration (out of 25)
Top 10 in their events but didn't qualify for nationals:
Allie Hackworth- Principles of Hospitality
Ivan Brown-Personal Financial Literacy
We are so proud of these students and are excited to grow this chapter for next year!

SCHOOL CLOSURE (1/31/2023). Due to the cold temperatures and expected wind chill, Fremont County Joint School District #215 is cancelling classes in all schools for Tuesday, January 31. Be safe with these cold temperatures.


The girls basketball game that was scheduled to be played in Teton tonight has been canceled. The girls next game will be Tuesday January 31st at 7:00 pm in Teton. This will be thier first game of the district tournament.

The next Drivers Education class at South Fremont High School is scheduled to start on Wednesday, February 15th. We still have some spots available. To register for the class a student needs to do the following:
1. Be at least 14 1/2 years of age
2. Pay $100 dollars in the SFHS main office
3. Get a letter of Verification from the office.
4. Take the receipt, letter of verification, birth certificate, and social security number, a photo ID to the Sheriff’s office.
5. Pay the fee for a driver’s learners permit
6. Get your photo taken for the learners permit.

So much hard work in the Business Technology Department this semester resulted in:
17 2021 Microsoft Office Software Industry Certifications (12 Word, 3 Excel, 2 PPT)
18 Adobe 2023 Software Industry Certifications ( 10 Photoshop, 3 Illustrator, 1 Premiere Pro, 1 AfterEffects, and 5 InDesign)
These industry certifications can be used on their resumes for a job or can be converted to technical credits in their college transcripts if desired!

We are just amazed with the talent our students have. This snow sculpture can still be seen in Driggs. Please see our other posts for more pictures.


Final lab of the semester in Equine Science is always tack cleaning. The kids bring in their own saddles and get them all cleaned up for next summers riding!

Our Snow Scapes Sculpture Team did a great job this past week in Driggs! They completed a 6’x6’x8’ sculpture of Yoshi playing hockey with a blue shell.
