English

I have taught at South Fremont High school since 1999. It has been my favorite place that I have ever taught. I have tuagh in many places, and in many different situations, so when I tell my students this I think they believe me. I started my career on the way to being a college basketball coach. I taught and coached at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. It was a great experience. I loved being involved with the community. Afterwards, I went and choaced at a two-year school; The College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. Also, during this time I taught at an inner-city school, complete with all the stereotypical problems that are found there.

At this time, as I was looking for another college coaching experience, I met my wife and we got married. We decided we wanted to take a vacation so we took a job overseas and spent two years in Saudi Arabia teaching Saudi Naval Cadets how to speak English. It was one of the best teaching experiences, I have ever had.

Now I am the Cross-Country and Golf coach here at South. We have six children. Four are our own and the oldest two are adopted. This past summer my wife and I became grandparents. During my ten years at South I have predominately been an English teacher, but I have tuagh creative writing, drama in literature, P.E., weight training, English as a second language, and maybe the scariest of all, driver's education.
