Red Ribbon Week October 22nd - 26th 2007 |

Ashton Elementary School participated this year in the National Red Ribbon Week Program. As part of that program, students learned about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Numerous assemblies and activities were put together to promote healthy living. On Friday 26th, 2007 students pledged to be drug free and as a reminder of that promise they planted red tulips in front of Ashton Elementary School. |

| During the month of October, the students at Ashton Elementary School and North Fremont High School participated in "Pennies for Power Against Drugs", a penny drive that raised approximately $1,200.00, which was donated to Harbor House, ,a youth drug and alcohol rehabilitaton center in Idaho Falls. The PTP sponsored the drive and provided a pizza partys to the classes that raised the most money. The Junior class also had the opportunity to take a field trip to the Harbor House to deliver the check.and tour the facility. |  |
